Just do what they tell you to and get rest and get better. Is your pentamadine a breathing treatment or an oral medication? At least for me, the pentamadine was only a once a month breathing treatment, so that was tolerable. I gagged on it terribly though. I am glad to be back on the bactrim three times per week. Keep us posted on your progress, and don't try to rush it.
I guess you just have to deal with being there a little bit longer, hopefully not longer than that. They just want to make sure that you're really okay to go home, I guess they don't want you back!!!!
Hang in there, even if you're not home the weekend, i guess it wasn't what we expected originally. Thank G-d things seem to be moving in the right direction, keep up the good work. Miracles happen, as a matter of fact, all the time, we just get used to them and call them by other names (ie. nature), I believe Hashem hears every prayer, spoken and thought, and they are all answered, even if we have to wait. Hoping you are home soon, hopefully still by the weekend, and keep feeling stronger every day - the blog is amazing don't even think of stopping it! Jenny
Hi Leah, i guess they want to watch you and make sure you are well enough before you go home which is a good thing this way you wont go back. Just keep resting and we are davening for you!!!
It seems like we all check the blog at least once a day if not more, dont stop the blog we need you to keep reminding us of all the amazing miracles hashem does every day, you are a true inspiration to us all!!!
Hi Leah, I just walked in from Torah class and couldn't wait to see how you are doing. It seems you're doing Marvelous!!! I hate when they tell you you can go home and then tell you you have to wait. I have faith that once they get the ball rolling to get all you need at home, they'll kick you out with a big boot. You don't want to leave without all your provisions in place. I'm sure you'll be happy and scared at the same time to go home. It will all work out for the best. I'm counting on it. As always, Love Buford xxx000xxx P.S. Mark sends his best wishes!
Hi Leah, I have horrible memories of taking care of pts with PCP pneumonia when you & david were my neighbors downstairs in brooklyn. Fortunately, treatment has markedly improved in the past 1/4 century (it has been that long!) and there are multiple options. Even if you are allergic to bactrim, there are ways to desensitize you, so you can take this med if you need to.
In addition to davening for you 3x per day, i thing i need to add a new bracha thanking hashem for making me a cardiologist and NOT an ID doc.
