Hi. It's me. Illana's not here right now (for a change) so I guess I'm updating on my own. Today was a better day. I still have no answers but the pain is less intense and I'm feeling a little stronger. I've been bolstered by so many of your comments and good wishes. I'm hoping that tomorrow brings more answers and more strength.
There are a number of things they discuss but nothing conclusive. They may have to remove my central line as they found bacteria in it. They may have to do a liver biopsy. I had a ECHO CARDIOGRAM this afternoon. We're waiting for the skin biopsies.
There's not much more to report. Thank God the pain is not so severe and that I'm able to get up out of the bed and that I haven't had any fever again. Walking is very difficult now. The pre-existing muscle weakness, 4 days in bed and painful sores all contribute to that.
But I believe that tomorrow will be a better day and I thank you so much for your prayers. I believe in miracles.
Leah - I am so sorry you are going through this. I hope all is back on track soon. I am praying for you constantly and hope you can get back home quickly and resume the healing process. Keep us posted and keep your chin up.

We are all Baali emunah but u have something special that we all look up, your emunah in hashem is not something u alwasy say so u are a true example to us all.
ReplyDeleteI am sure tomorrow will be a better day and we are waiting to hear the update.
Just remember hashem is at your side!!!
All my love-

Hi Leah,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you 're able to post on your own. Yesterday I asked Rach for you and your mother's hebrew names. James contacted Colel Chabad who will be saying a mishabairaach for you. I can't stop thinking about you. Be well, Leah.
love, Geanie
It was so wonderful seeing you and mom today and for seeing for myself that you are ok, up and out of bed. I must say, that for all that you are going through...you are just as beautiful as always, my moonie!! I hope that tomorrow we will have some answers as to what is going on with you..but at least you aren't in such terrible pain. I am praying, my bff, and I know better days are ahead...hang in there. You are so amazing and such an inspiration to all of us. I love you so so much xoxoxo

Hello Sunshine, Thank G-d you are feeling a bit better today. I was thinking and praying for you all day. I wish this time in your life was like a video so you can fast forward past all the bad parts. Sort of like that stupid movie Click. I think people wouldn't appreciate happiness all the time if we didn't experience some pain and sadness. Sort of like when our ancestors were roaming around the desert and only had manna to eat. Get some rest and study hard for your tests so that you will pass with flying colors. I'm hoping that your pain will disapear and your recovery will be quick. Keep smiling and I'll keep praying. All my love xxx000xxx Buford
ReplyDeleteHello Diva,
ReplyDeleteBeen looking in on you the past few days and feel so sad that you are going through this. You are in our prayers always.
Our wishes to see you home soon.

It was so good to speak to you today and hear your voice for myself, and to hear that your voice sounds stronger. I could also hear the smile in your voice, so I'm encouraged. I love talking to Mom, Illana, Rachel and Jacob, but there's nothing like the real thing.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for all that you are going through and that you have to go through all these tests, but I will continue to only have a positive attitude and daven. I believe that all of the positive energy reaches you through the words on this blog and keeping a positive attitude is 1/2 the battle.
My family (Mom, Chaim, Stu and my sibs) all asked me to let you know that they are thinking positive thoughts for you and that they are davening for you. Also, Chana Gila is very careful about making sure her whole class says your name everyday when they say Tehillim.
With all you have on your side there can only be a positive outcome.
I love you and can't wait to see you home and well very very soon.
Shelly
I'm glad to hear you are improving. Continued paryers and best wishes for a refuah shelaima

Good morning,I am so happy that you were able to keep us all posted! I know that HASEM is watching over you and today, Tuesday, should be a much better day!!
ReplyDeleteJust by knowing that you are able to get up and out of bed brings a smile to all of us!Hang in and keep pushing we know you can do it for all of us! You are our inspiration!!! I am not a Rabbi, but just from everything that was taught to me I know Hashem tests us in so many ways and knows who to test, you are a very special person and we dont understand why you are going through all this, but what we do know is that you with your EMUNAH you will surprise us all!!!
Juds, Hang in there, Ilana be strong we all need you to keep us all going!!!

miriam and avner
Layah...
ReplyDeleteI am delighted with, bli ayin hora, these positive steps in your refuah! It puts real understanding into the birchot hashachar. As I daven each morning there's a part of each brocha that is dedicated to you and to your IY"H continued steps towards resuming your regular, natural routine...
Removing the line will go a long way towards your improvement. We need to do our hishtadlus. HKBH is capable of doing-and will do- all of the rest.

Hi Leah,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry I haven’t signed on in a while, but I have been checking up regularly. My 1 year old son doesn’t always allow me the luxury to stay on the computer for more than a minute without pulling on some wires ect. He is quite a handful at this age, and being that I am supposed to be off my feet as much as possible, it is rather challenging.
I was so happy to see that you were able to post on your own last night. I hope that today will bring you more strength and energy. Hashem has His ways and reasons for doing things, and although we don’t understand them, like you say “we believe in miracles.” So we are all Davening for that miracle to happen immediately, when you will have no more pain and a complete Refuah Shelaima.
(I have to end it here because Reuven is at the wires for a change!)
Our thoughts and Tefillos are with you constantly.
Regards to Judy, Ilana, and the rest of the gang.
Love Always,
Leiba Helman
Mommy, I'm glad you're feeling better, really.
ReplyDeleteNo croak-close-calls thanks
Hi mommy.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say that I love you, and I'm confident, as I know you are, that you'll get through this in no time. You'll be good as new and this will just be a bad memory.
Everyone is pulling for you!
Love,
Jacob
