Good Morning. It looks like a beautiful day. I'm pretty tired. I wasn't able to sleep well last night. Yesterday I received a unit of platelets and then again last night I received a unit of blood. Thankfully, I'm usually able to get a couple of hours of sleep during the day. I'm having trouble with nutrition. I am simply unable to eat. Besides the fact that I've got no appetite, I have this awful taste in my mouth. So ingesting is just out of the question. So, I think that today they're going to start me on IV Nutrition. I really wanted to hold out and see if I could just do it myself...like force myself to start eating but, when the doc mentioned how important it was for my body to have the proper nutrition to turn the corner and start to heal well, that's a pretty strong argument. I'm also scheduled for an abdominal scan this morning because I've had some pain there. All these meds running through me are very tough on the liver. Now you probably know more than you wanted to, right??
Thank you again for all the positive energy I feel coming my way, for your prayers, your thoughts of love and for your wishes for my recovery, for your cards, etc. I am truly blessed.

Leah, Today I'm writing on my time. As you know, I don't work on Wednesdays. I'm so happy to see you on today. No appetite! Imagine that! I'm sure that will change real soon. I just came home from doing some errands and one of the first things I did was run to my computer to see if you've written. Thanks! Your friends are adorable. Also, thanks for allowing us to share everything that's going on with you. It means so much to us (and this way I hear it straight from you, Judie or Illana). Each day gets you that much closer to coming home. I have to go say my Tehillim before I go back out.

I heard u were reading all the comments my whole family wrote yesterday with Ilana there- all we have is this blog that is what makes us feel connected- thanks for thinking of the idea of this blog it really helps everyone connect to you while u are going through this tough time- hang in there i am sure the worst is over and maybe with the iv nustition u will start feeling much better and stronger, hope the scan came back ok we will wait to hear from you how it all went-

It is so great to see a picture of you today. I am not surprised to see you smiling, because from all your posts, it is quite clear how strong and positive you always are. As much as you tried eating on your own, you never know…. It could be the IV nutrition will give you that extra burst of energy that you are waiting for!
