Monday Afternoon

I just came back from the hospital. Thank God everything is going smoothly. I didn't need blood or platelets. Wednesday will be T+100 and so they did a few extra tests today...I had a chest xray, EKG, urinalysis, extra blood tests (14 tubes!).

The doctor removed the remaining stitches from the skin biopsies I had before I was discharged from the hospital. The biopsies revealed nothing new.

I haven't been sleeping well and so I'm exhausted right now. Rachel and I are going to watch a movie and hopefully I'll take a little nap.

So far, So Good. Thank God. I'm taking one day at a time and hoping for the best. Thank you all for the prayers and good wishes.

  2. Great news! Don't be surprised that there are no answers from the biopsies. That happens often in medicine. What's important is that you're feeling better, haven't needed transfusions in a little while (is this your longest stretch?) and you're moving forward.

    keep up the positive attitude!

  3. Leah - I guess no news is good news. I too am relaxing and watching movies. I bought a couple of new ones this weekend, so that's always fun. Take care of yourself and try to get some sleep. It is important to your recovery.

    Love ya.

  4. 14 tubes! You should be exhausted! I am glad to hear that everything is going well. My personal favorite movie to watch when I am tired is "Out of Africa". Puts me to sleep every time!

    Continue feeling better every day.

  5. What a day to have to travel into the city. B'H things went well today. Wow that's alot of blood. I'm suprised they didn't have to replace any. I just heard on channel 7 news about the boy that died, they said he had the flu. No matter what it doesn't make it any easier. A movie and a nap sounds like a great plan. I hope mom isn't delayed too long tomorrow. Be well, LH&k Beth xxx000xxx
