Friday

I just had a bit of an incident. I went to CVS to pick up my prescriptions and as I was entering the store, my legs just gave out and I ended up on my knees, unable to stand up. Thankfully, two very nice (and strong) women picked me up. It was crazy and it really shook me up. I'm sure my knees will be bruised. This muscle weakness seems to be getting worse instead of better. I'm told it's the Prednisone, but if my legs are going to buckle, that's not a good thing.

Anyway, Mom is at Illana's for the weekend. Jacob's going to a friend, too. So, it's just David, Rachel and me. Sounds like a nice, quiet weekend.

Thanks for checking in and for the continued prayers and good wishes. I hope you all have a beautiful weekend and a good shabbos. Keep believing in miracles.

  1. glad to hear about the CMV or the lackof....it is probably the prednisone and some disuse atrophy. Don't overdo it--try to take it easy even though you are feeling better. I saw your original Dr. L yesterday and he sent warm regards and wishes for a refuah sheleima
    have a great shabbos

  2. Leah - please take it easy. Although it's normal, it is still scary. Get some rest, and only try to work out and do things when you are at home, on soft surfaces, and people there to help you out of a jam. Let someone get your prescriptions for you and take care of yourself. Please don't overdo it. With your platelets still low, you don't want to bruise yourself either. Thinking about you and praying for you. Love and hugs.

  3. Moonie....So happy to hear your tests came back well from the hospital but not happy to hear about the CVS incident. Sure we can't sue CVS for something? Ice???? Just a thought. You know how my mind works (or not). How about a date Wednesday??????? When do you have to go back to hosp again? I do know how to drive you know. I do miss you so much.
Try to rest and have a wonderful Shabbos .....still thinking and praying for you all the time, my bff.
