T+5

Shavua Tov. Leah is unable to write to you tonite because she is feeling real rotten. We are told that this is the way she is expected to be feeling. It doesn't make it any better for her but it is reassuring that the process is going as expected. Now we just have to wait for the numbers to bottom out and begin to rise. Hopefully that will be in the not too distant future. She looks forward to your comment and prayers and good wishes. Keep up the good work. Judie

  5. Leah,
I am looking forward to the next blog YOU write as that will tell us all that you are feeling better. I realize that you knowing you are supposed to 'feel rotten' is only small consolation, but hopefully you will be feeling better soon.
You are strong and are surrounded by a loving family and caring friends and that is a VERY powerful medicine.
btw - I am seeing Allen Rickman tomorrow and he sends his best. He also is praying for you.
    Feel Better....

  9. Hey, good morning, hope today starts the turn upwards and we can all hear from Leah that she's starting to feel better. I think I'm getting a little addicted to this blog thing, but it's so nice to be able to get an instant update on how you're doing, Leah. Hope Mom, sis, bro and hubby and kids are doing well too, certainly making everyone proud to be part of your special family. In the meantime, i really have nothing inspiring to say just that we're really thinking of you all the time and praying for you and hoping we see your refuah shleimah quickly. Jenny, Joey, et al

  11. Hi Leah, Just a note from your fam & friends network. Although, we might not know each other (friends & family on or off the blog)I feel so connected because of you. If I sing Barbara Ann will you feel better? LOL!!! I wish it was that simple. I hope you feel at least a smidgen better today. If it is any consolation look outside. It is a rainy, gloomy day and a perfect day to stay in bed to watch movies. Always on my mind and in my heart, LH&K Love Beth

  14. hi mom,

I hate to hear that this is such an uncomfortable stage of your treatment. try to sleep as much as you can and hopefully you'll sleep through most of it. your numbers should, G-d-willing turn around this coming week, right? You'll be good-as-new in no-time at all. Those stem-cells probably already took up residence in your marrow....we just have to wait for them to grow into real marrow cells and start doing their thing.

    I love you, mommy!

    Hope you feel better soon,
    Jacob

  16. Leah - sounds like you are right on track - just know that what you are feeling is normal. I agree with your son - I took lots of Ambien CR and slept through what I could - watched lots of TV but little to nothing else. Let me know if there is anything you need - Love ya lots and pray for you all the time.

  17. Le-
Hoping everyday that that you are feeling much improved. But I understand that you are right on track with your numbers. So I'm pretty happy that, thats where you are and therefore hoping the end is getting even closer. I understand there has to be some bad days, before you can live and enjoy the great ones. I am hoping this is the last of the bad days and daven for your speedy refuah so i can come by and talk your ear off. Judy, I have been thinking of you too and can't get over how incredible you are. Leah is in great hands and it helps us bloggers to know she has you. I do also want to mention how proud I have been of Illana. Although she was not able to donate those little critters, she has given so much of her love, time and attention to Leah. I know there isn't any place she'd rather be! Yasher Koach to the Team! Leah, stay strong, you are doing great!
    Love Ya!
